Current as of the Aki 2026 banzuke — after Nagoya and the summer jungyo. Nagoya ran Jul 12–26 at IG Arena. Sekiwake Aonishiki took the Emperor’s Cup — his third yūshō — beating Atamifuji and Kirishima in a three-way playoff after all three finished 12–3; the run also restored him to ōzeki. Both yokozuna struggled: Onosato closed 9–6, and Hoshoryu went kyujo from day 14 at 7–7 and had knee ligament surgery on 29 July. Sekiwake Wakatakakage missed the whole basho after emergency thigh surgery in early July. Special prizes — Shukun-shō: Fujinokawa; Kantō-shō: Atamifuji, Kotoeiho & Takayasu; Ginō-shō: Aonishiki. Mock Draft
